Georg W. Mehring-Schlegel is a seasoned CFO, board member, serial entrepreneur, and investor with more than 30 years of experience across investment banking in the UK, international retail, consultancy and family-owned portfolio companies. As former Group CFO of MediaMarkt-Saturn and Group Senior Vice President at METRO AG, he led group strategy, M&A, large-scale efficiency programs, and international expansion, including the company’s entry into China and several major spin-offs. Today, he serves as a senior advisor to Bain & Company and EY, an advisory board member and investor in multiple venture and private equity-backed businesses, as coordinator in the middle-east for the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade as well as owner-managing director of a real estate and retail-tech investment company.
